Devil’s Night is intense and gripping from the moment the play
begins. Although the theme of the play depicts one legendary night in
Statesville penitentiary, the realization of the gloomy and life-threatening
existence within prison walls is unmistakable. Skillfully directed by
Scott Haze, the ominous feelings of fear, despair, intimidation and
eternal hope are unmistakably felt with every scene. The writing is
clean, real, and explicitly graphic as each character must address how
